What’s the most important leadership lesson you’ve learned?
I’ve learned the importance of making my team feel motivated, which leads to success.
What do you consider to be your most important career achievement or milestone?
Obtaining multiple teams from the client and continually being trusted with new projects and teams.
What do you aspire to accomplish in your career and why? What obstacles will you overcome?
I want to become a regional head and make Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) grow across the globe, leading to better data transcription, better resource management, and efficiency.

Working in artificial intelligence in LIMS
How was AWIS helped you professionally and/or personally?
I look forward to sharing my research in mixed reality and draft for 3d printing and its benefits.

Science.

Science is fun!
How has this word influenced or inspired your career?
Science has led me to become the person I am today.
How does AWIS impact your career journey?
AWIS gives women a sense of belonging, examples of leadership, and encourages women scientists in male dominated industries.

What do you consider the best professional or personal advice you’ve ever received?
To let things come in and not explode like a volcano.
Niranjana Raghunathan is a single working parent with a materials and physical science masters background, originally from New Zealand. After migrating to the US, she completed an MBA in cybersecurity. For the past 13 years Niranjana has been working in multiple companies across the globe helping with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). She recently published a research paper on mixed reality.
