Farida Bedwei is a software engineer and co-founder of Logiciel, a fin-tech company in Ghana. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child and home schooled until the age of 12. Bedwei had a passion for computers and pursued a career in computer science. She is best known for developing banking and financial software used across Africa, and has become one of Ghana’s leading software developers. Bedwei co-founded Logiciel, a software company developing banking systems for the microfinance industry. She is also a passionate advocate for disability rights, inclusive education, and greater representation of women in technology. Bedwei is a published author, with a book titled Karmzah, who is a superhero with cerebral palsy.
