Film Synopsis
Spacewoman tells the remarkable story of astronaut Eileen Collins, whose determination and leadership helped redefine what was possible for women in aerospace. As the first woman to pilot and later command a NASA Space Shuttle mission, Collins broke barriers while navigating the demands, risks, and responsibilities of human spaceflight.

This screening coincides with the anniversary of a defining moment in space history. On July 22, 1999, Eileen Collins became the first woman to command a Space Shuttle mission when Space Shuttle Columbia launched on STS-93.
