“Endure to the end; never give up.”

Samantha Wilezol

What’s the most important leadership lesson you’ve learned?

I have learned it is important to follow through on my word. Folks attesting to their word sets a trustworthy example to others.

What do you consider to be your most important career achievement or milestone?

My most recent career milestone has been the opportunity to speak inspirationally at venues. It has allowed me to share applicable knowledge of my field of study of the Social Sciences and my faith most importantly.

What do you aspire to accomplish in your career and why? What obstacles will you overcome?

I aspire to build a career as an inspirational speaker, both domestic and internationally, because I want to share ultimate hope with others. I will need to overcome are negative comments and views from others.

Describe an amazing opportunity in your STEM career.

An amazing opportunity in my STEM related career has been verbally sharing a spoken word as an alumnus from Stockton University. It was a privilege sharing applicable knowledge within the Social Sciences, but of my faith most importantly.

How was AWIS helped you professionally and/or personally?

AWIS has helped me personally by motivating me to publish two books at the age of 22, submit articles through college and beyond to share, and contact local speakers to advocate for change.

What is your favorite word? (only one word)

Agape, more specifically, agape love that leads to outward acts in deed.

How do you define it?

I define “agape” by love on a sacrificial level.

How has this word influenced or inspired your career?

The word “agape” encourages me to extend courteous love to others. We are all in this thing called life together.

How does AWIS impact your career journey?

I have learned much from the helpful AWIS newsletters and website articles. It has been a privilege to spread word of AWIS to others.

What are you currently reading or listening to?

I am currently reading Abide by a very inspiring individual I know, Jesse Stokes. It encourages me to invite peace into my being in everyday life and living it out.

What do you consider the best professional or personal advice you’ve ever received?

Endure to the end; never give up. This relates to what has spoken to my heart “It’s not the mountains we overcome, but ourselves,” by Maya Angelou. I have been able to apply this to all areas in my life.
