What’s the most important leadership lesson you’ve learned?

The power of active listening. Leaders who truly listen to their team members create an environment of trust and collaboration. It shows that they value others’ perspectives, which in turn fosters a sense of respect and loyalty.

What do you consider to be your most important career achievement or milestone?

I have validated a new spatial biology platform and an AI software and made it live at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute core lab, Boston MA that can be used by PIs and Postdocs for reseach. I have also received two awards on the first year of teaching at TH Rogers Middle School in Houston, TX.

What do you aspire to accomplish in your career and why? What obstacles will you overcome?

To contribute to advancements in knowledge and technology that address solutions for cancer research. By persevering through challenges like limited resources, I hope to make a lasting contribution to the scientific community and society as a whole.

Describe an amazing opportunity in your STEM career.

An amazing opportunity in my STEM career was the chance to lead a groundbreaking interdisciplinary project aimed at cancer diagnostics using spatial biology and AI integrated software.

I just joined AWIS and would love to see what AWIS has to offer.

Diligent

Attentive and persistent to accomplish something.

How has this word influenced or inspired your career?

I have always given 100% to everything I have done in my career and life.
