Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
Consider a donation to AWIS to help women scientists fulfill their full potential.
More and more people are establishing Donor Advised Funds (DAF) to take advantage of the tax benefits. DAFs soared by 560% between 2011 and 2023, from $38 billion to an astonishing $251 billion. DAF benefits include:
- You can make a donation at the end of the year to lower your tax liability and decide later where to direct the money.
- A DAF helps keep all your charitable giving records in one place — making it easier to review and consider donations.
- Even if you stop or slow your DAF contribution rate, DAF funds continue to grow (tax free) over time so you can give more.
- Although it varies, the amount needed to establish a DAF may be minimal. Consult your financial institution or advisor to learn more.
If you have already established a DAF, thank you for considering a donation to AWIS!
