AWIS in Action
AWIS is a vibrant, highly charged organization committed to helping women in STEM at every stage of their career achieve their greatest potential. We work on multiple levels to lower the barriers and create opportunties for success.
Advocacy and Public Policy
AWIS advocates for initiatives that improve the status of women in STEM and continues to lead in developing improved public programs and employment policies across all disciplines and sectors. By attending Congressional and White House events, participating in advocacy conferences, engaging the media, developing reports, and working with a variety of national coalitions, AWIS consistently raises the concerns of women in STEM to decision makers in Washington D.C. and around the country.

The AWIS community website connects members to meaningful conversations about leadership, important public policy issues, as well as chapter happenings and tips on achieving work life balance.
