Our Role in the Media
AWIS reaches out to the public and the media to share information on the trends and issues facing America's 1.3 million women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). AWIS is a source of expert information on working women in STEM across all disciplines and employment sectors. We help educate the public, Congress, and women involved in STEM careers on issues which prevent women from reaching their full potential. AWIS enhances the future of the U.S. science and technology enterprise by supporting the career advancement of a key national resource: women in STEM.
